A Brief History of Intelligence

Evolution, AI, and the Five Breakthroughs That Made Our Brains

by Max Solomon Bennett (2023)

My Thoughts

This book was interesting because itΓÇÖs not something that you could just watch a YouTube video on and learn all the things presented. It really felt like a unique way to discuss our evolution from small organisms to what we now have as artificial intelligence. The organization of the book and explanations of each breakthrough were great in my opinion. You really donΓÇÖt need any prior knowledge to understand what the author is conveying. The information and breakthroughs go into a deeper level than one might expect too. My biggest takeaway from the conclusion and from this book is that the exponential progress of AI is real and is only just beginning. The next half decade will uncover an explosion of opportunities to incorporate AI into our lives (hopefully for the overall good of civilization).
