I'm Joe Thompson, a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) developer. My degree is in finance, not computer science, but the business side turned out to matter more. Good automation comes from understanding a process before you replace it. Financial services has no shortage of candidates: reconciliations, exception queues, reports that exist because someone asked for one in 2014.
Outside work I run a few times a week, lift, and read mostly nonfiction. The rest of my free time goes to building things nobody asked for, like the weather display on my wall or whatever this site is turning into.
